Our Nomadic Quarter 2023
In June of 2023, my partner and I set out on a three month journey out west in our Winnebago Van, Miss Pearl.
It was an epic trip, one that took nearly two years of planning, physically moving, intentionality, and pure grit!
The decision wasn’t easy at all — the hard ones never are, right?!? — AND it was time. Uncertainty, fear, and risk were all wrapped up in a pit in our stomachs..and we made a decision to take bold action.
I still think about our experience, and reflect on what I learned about myself along the way. Without a doubt, the Accountability & Mentoring System I use to coach my clients worked for this dream and it will continue to work for what I have my eye on in the future!
I also discovered:
I was afraid AND that’s okay. Up until our departure, my brain worked overtime as I learned to navigate my feelings of fear. As I shifted from being reactive to a sense of acceptance, I felt liberation
I wrestled with my emotions as I contemplated leaving the work I loved as Mentor Coordinator, for an organization I adore, Momentum Leaders. My superpower is connecting people to resources for growth, how will I do that on the road and what will it look like in the future?
Saying farewell to my friends for three months was difficult, so I made a commitment to stay in touch
I will never be the same
I realize you may not want to travel across the country in a Winnebago Van! AND, you can go ALL in on your dreams — whether that's, building your own business, delving into a career shift that pushes you outside of your comfort zone, pursuing personal & professional growth that enhances your quality of life & propels you toward success — taking that first step is so worth it!
